PhD position / image compression & processing / Uni Stuttgart / Germany

The University of Stuttgart in Germany currently searches for highly qualified and motivated applicants for two PhD projects in an international research group:

  • PhD research project: Real-time image processing, algorithms and FPGA-suited architectures
  • PhD scholarship project: Real-time image compression algorithms and FPGA-suited architectures.

The research group - headed by Professor Dr.-Ing. Sven Simon - offers an attractive working environment with the possibility of participating in top national and international conferences in the respective research field.

The salary for the PhD research project will be according to the german pay scale E13 TV-L /2 (http://oeffentlicher-dienst.info/tv-l/west/). The research group in the University of Stuttgart is willing to provide assistance in the process of scholarship application.

Experience in image processing or FPGA-suited architectures and implementations are an asset.
